Fair Isaac is now a CREDIT BUREAU!
Fair Isaac Launches FICO Score to Help Lenders Grow Presence in Credit-Underserved Markets
“The company has established a fully regulatory-compliant subsidiary, Fair Isaac Credit Services, Inc., to operationally deliver this capability.”
The Fair Isaac credit bureau!
“Fair Isaac has developed a diverse network of information sources for non-traditional credit data to enable it to design and calculate highly predictive credit risk scores for overlooked consumers. Predictive information considered in the formulation of this score include payment performance data on financial activities such as deposit accounts, pay day loans, and product purchase payment plans. Until recently, such information has not been consistently maintained or accessible for commerical risk scoring.”
How do I get my Fair Isaac credit report?
A FICO® Score for Universe Expansion
“It’s based on alternative data sources
The Expansion score evaluates data from multiple non-traditional data sources to provide a complete view of the consumer’s credit risk. Fair Isaac has selected the best commercially available data sources to power the score.”
What EXACTLY are those data sources?
For many years Fair Isaac’s excuse for everything was that they did not control the data in the underlying credit reports.
NOW THEY DO!!!!
50 million consumers are to be scored based on FAIR ISAAC data. I can’t wait to see those FCRA lawsuits!
The new site for the Fair Isaac CRA:

“Subscribe
Fair Isaac Credit Services, Inc. offers this service on a subscription basis to qualified lenders. To use the service, you must have a permissible purpose for obtaining consumer credit reports in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and all applicable federal, state, local laws, statutes and regulations.”
Yup, a full blown CRA, yet I couldn’t find anything to find info on getting my report.

Be advised that Isaac is just reselling reports from the 3 majors. Furthermore, they cannot provide ANYONE reports or scores (even the consumer directly) if the consumer has a fraud alert placed on their files.
A fraud alert is a great idea for many reasons: It keeps Isaac away from the information contained by the big 3 and it removes the ability for any company to look at your score or report for 5 years, therefore blocking unauthorized inquiries for 5 years which of course can reduce your score.
False, not true, incorrect!
You’re obviously unable to read the links I posted and one of those self proclaimed expert who know nothing.
A fraud alert is ONLY appropriate for people who are certain that they will not need any credit and can live with the risk of being unable to get cell phones, loans, utilities and whatever else requires credit reports.
A fraud alert can be a HUGE headache and I don’t need more headaches.
I just read your own experience with credit scoring and reporting and you asked many very good questions.
MyFICO rant about FICO scores and Medical Collections
But there’s a lot more to know, try those links in my posting above—I don’t pull these things out of a hat, Fair Isaac really is a credit bureau, althoug not for you because you’re not one of the 50 million “disadvantaged” they target.
As I posted at your blog, reading my FTC and FRB submissions should explain an awful lot and should make it clear to anyone that America is a corrupt country with a corrupt government, corrupt legislators and not surprising, many corrupt organizations and people.
That’s just how it is. Not only will nobody change that, I don’t even see anyone trying.
You’re a bright guy and you’ll see that I document my allegations with the court filings, the credit report scan, etc. etc.
How can this be true? This will be really interesting to see how this works out. Was there anythign in the news about this?
