NCO is dodging service, forwarding order expired

I thought I’d see whether they accept the waiver of service and just looked up the status on Endicia:

image

From the PA Department of State as of 12/12/06:

NCO GROUP, INC.
Entity Number: 2711959
Status: Active
Entity Creation Date: 8/27/1996
State of Business.: PA
Registered Office Address: No Address
Mailing Address: No Address

Officers
Name: STEVEN L WINOKUR
Title: Treasurer
Address: 1740 WALTON RD
BLUE BELL PA 19422-0

On my credit reports they’re identified as NCO Financial, which seems to have been dissolved and is probably a dba now.  If anybody knows how to serve NCO, please post a comment or send me an e-mail.

Christine:

Have you tried searching within the state you are suing at http://www.registeredagentinfo.com/?

The searches are different for every state.

In Texas, their registered agent is CT Corp.

Posted by Heather  on  12/19/2006

I just checked, in AZ it’s CT Corp too.  I’d prefer to mail to their main office, it may have been CT who lost the mailings for Equifax and TU a few years ago and eventually they were dismissed because of late service.

The NCO address listed in AZ:

NCO FINANCIAL SYSTEMS, INC.
507 PRUDENTIAL RD
HORSHAM, PA 19044

Maybe that’s the current address.

Went to check http://www.ncogroup.com/ and there are ONLY empty pages with:

“NCO delivers access to the right people, the right location and the right tools to support our clients’ business process outsourcing requirements.”

That’s quite bizarre.  They sure don’t deliver access to THEIR people at the RIGHT locations at the PA Department of State.

Do they have another website or are they just royally screwed up?

The following address is the correct Corporate address:
NCO FINANCIAL SYSTEMS, INC.
507 PRUDENTIAL RD
HORSHAM, PA 19044

The company did not disolve they just recently have converted to a private company.

Check out my similiar ongoing fight with NCO:

I’ve posted a couple comments, see http://noholdsbarred.wordpress.com/2007/01/10/nco-debt-validation-the-story-continues/#comments

The NCO site is back up and here’s the scoop:

http://www.ncogroup.com/investors/fact_sheet.aspx

“… In July 2006, NCO announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by One Equity Partners ("OEP") and Michael J. Barrist, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, in a transaction valued at approximately $1.26 billion. Other members of executive management will be given an opportunity to invest in the surviving company and Mr. Barrist will continue as Chief Executive Officer.  The transaction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2006. ...”

I still haven’t served them yet, too darn busy.

I just received a collection letter from them and the address shows
NCO Financial Systems, Inc.

Make it a class action and I’ll join you. They are an obnoxious bunch. I don’t owe them or their client anything, they’ve got the wrong address and keep transferring me to a full supervisors mailbox. Called them back three times and got two overstuffed voice mailboxes and one hangup. Treated me like I’m a felon and I’m not even the person they’re looking for. I’d love to sue them.

I finally had NCO served last week and no, I can’t file a class action because I’m not a lawyer and even if I was, there is no qualified class.

Sue them!

There is a Steven L. Winokur listed at 203 Carpenter, Ambler, Pa 19002, with a phone number of 215 643 7473.  This is probably the treasurer of NCO.

I will be starting a class action as soon as my attorney gets all the neccessary info from the creditors.  They have triplicate accounts on each of my reports, wrong dates, amounts that have increased over the past year, and refusal to remove paid off items.  I have done everything I could by myself with no resolution.

Posted by MeLLisa Crowne  on  05/11/2007

I don’t think you can file a class action, I never see triplicate accounts from NCO.  The balance increases due to interest, which may or may not be legal as that’s STATE law.

“refusal to remove paid off items”

Fire your attorney if he thinks that paid collections have to be removed.

“I have done everything I could by myself with no resolution.”

You may have some claims over the multiple reporting of the same account by the same collector, IF you disputed factually.

repost this message everywhere you see NCO

A cyber war has been launched.  We are beginning by giving you tools to fight back.

when NCO calls you, apologize, explain that you are moving and changing phone numbers.  They will ask for your new number…

THEN,

GIVE THEM YOUR CONGRESSMAN’S PHONE NUMBER INSTEAD.  LET THEM CALL AND HARASS THE GOVERNMENT

This lesson in social engineering brought you by:

Hacking with the most hatred of all

This is just the start of the cyber war we are launching.  We WILL be going to jail for this cyber war.  Someone must pay them back though.  I’m willing to do the time.

oh, and you’re welcome in advance.

see you on the news.

What a crazy post.

Target has been HOUNDING me with several calls EVERY day.  Yesterday I picked up the phone without slamming the receiver back down and I explained to the nice lady that I was just about to print some money to send to them.  In fact, I’ve got $8K in Stelojs printed and cut up and I hope tomorrow I’ll finish my letter to Target.

I also explained to her that I was printing my own money now because the banks printed the money that Target gave me.  IF they use dollar bills, it costs the banks about 4 cents per $100 bill, but they create most money by merely making bookkeeping entries.

I also highly recommended Web of Debt to her and it’s a miracle, my phone didn’t ring once all day.

But, that is a little off topic since Target isn’t a collector like NCO.

Today was also the first day without calls from collector IC System.  That’s probably because they received my mailing (delivered to its registered agent last Thu) and if they don’t settle, I’ll be suing them.

hmmm it seems I’m a victim of the NCO lot as well, I’ve got 5 collection accounts on each CRA, all of which I have NO EARTHLY idea of how and when I came into these “supposed” medical debts they claim I owe (with no supporting documentation to be provided and the original creditor is a former collection agency).  So I’ve contacted every institution that I may have visited in my state and as to date have yet to find the medical debt that has magically appeared on my credit report AND has been re-sold to another NCO division so it will stay on my report another 7 years.

It is incredibly frustrating to see how ignorant people are, how much time they waste, yet they are too cheap to spend the $45 to subscribe to http://creditfactors.com/ and too lazy to read the free info at http://creditsuit.org/credit.php/blog/comments/reader_mail_what_to_do_about_many_old_chargeoffs_and_collections/

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

In other words, many people get what they deserve.
