"Experian cannot delete or change information that is accurate or that has been verified as accurate."
That's the big lie. The FCRA specifically REQUIRES CRAs to review and consider consumer documentation:
§ 611. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [15 U.S.C. § 1681i]
(a) Reinvestigations of disputed information.
(4) Consideration of consumer information. In conducting any reinvestigation under paragraph (1) with respect to disputed information in the file of any consumer, the consumer reporting agency shall review and consider all relevant information submitted by the consumer in the period described in paragraph (1)(A) with respect to such disputed information.

I'm sure this outrageous lie saves Experian many millions of dollars.
Posted by Christine at March 7, 2004 05:18 PMNo CRA can remove TRUE information, but they are required to investigate and respond to a dispute initiated by a consumer who believes it to be inaccurate/untrue
FACT/FCRA provides that when a consumer disputes information to the CRA, the CRA must confirm that information and reply back to the consumer within 30 days, or they must remove the information from the file - unless the furnisher later proves that information to be true

Experian still does this as they have this practice on thier web site as of last night. They have my dads social security number on my report and report that they have already investigated items that belong to me via social.
Can I get more information about the lawsuit?

"No CRA can remove TRUE information"
False. Check fcraclassaction.com. The CRAs are paying 15 million in attorneys fees and are DELETING accurate information as per the settlement agreement.
Greg, send them a certified mail explaining the dispute and if you have any damages, I'm sure you can get a lawyer to take your case on contingency.
