More on CreditExpert and the FCRA violations

After spending some time at CreditExpert, I found the following major changes/violations:

It is as incomplete as ConsumerInfo.com (PrivacyGuard) reports, missing dates for derogs, closing dates, aging dates, payment history, etc.

NO soft inquiries, clearly another FCRA violation.

NO Experian report number, resulting in the inability to make phone disputes with Experian (I will have to do a test next week to see if they made any changes to the Experian phone dispute requirements.)

No more online disputes (not illegal, just another reason not to pay for it.)

And of course the new "PLUS" score is nothing but another snake oil score - a total fraud.

The free trial is still there, 30 days, you still get daily reports but it's a very tedious process, make sure you CANCEL within 30 days. It's not worth paying $90/year for that crap.

I just ordered my credit report last week (23rd) from Experian because I am in the process of trying to improve my credit score. I ordered it from Experian, but apparently actually bought it from creditexperts.com. Anyway, the reason I used Experian was that there is something on my report I want to dispute, and they allow online disputing. To cut a long story short, there is no way to do it through their system--I sometimes get a message that says "We are unable to allow access to our online dispute service at this time. You must have a current copy of your personal credit report in order to dispute information.

If you recently purchased an Experian credit review from Consumerinfo.com, Credit Expert, Credit Manager or another company, then you may want to try your dispute later. Our system does not yet recognize your purchase."

I tried calling Experian--they have no customer service number that isn't a recording. I tried calling Creditexpert.com and they have a recorded message saying to try calling back in 24-48 hours (though according to their listed hours, they ARE open). I feel like I am being given the run-around and totally ripped off. I wouldn't have ordered a $15 report if I had known that I couldn't dispute online.

he password I registered doesn't work, so I can't log back in to see the report. I request my password be sent to me and when it was, I tried to log in and they said I can't log in because my account is frozen.

ALSO, on this page, where I ordered the credit report from: www.experian.com/consumer_online_products/report_and_score.html

It says you get a credit simulator with purchase, but when I clicked on that option it said I had to sign up (and pay) for their credit manager to use the credit simulator.

So, to make a long story short, I had access to my credit report for 10 minutes, got logged out, sent to phone numbers that only had a recording and no customer service...I sent them 3 emails and have gotten no response. Of course I was charges $14.95 for the pleasure of all this. Any suggestions?

Wow, that is awful. From creditexpert.com:

"Send us a fax to: 1-714-978-0059

customerservice@creditexpert.com"

I'd say ask for your money back. If there's no way to dispute online, you might as well order from myfico.com and get the FICO score.

I just can't believe that they get away with this. I'm putting together a list of things that bother me about Experian at CreditCourt and maybe if there are some people willing to be the named in a class action, a big law firm will file suit.

Creditexperts.com is a joke! Paid for a year membership but ever since they upgraded there web I haven't been able to get into my account. There last problems with the site put me right into there FTP directory. Computer hackers out there can have a field day with this one!!

Buyer Beware!!!!
