Experian fails to report consumer disputes in violation of the FCRA

This is really important, and I'm always thrilled to see people who file those complaints with the FTC. Of course they do nothing but ignore those complaints, but it's important to be able to PROVE that the FTC knows what's going on and fails to act.

After all, this isn't about ONE violation damaging ONE consumer, it's about the Experian way of doing business and ignoring the FCRA entirely, intentionally and maliciously.

The FCRA requires that consumer disputes be reported on consumer reports. I believe that Trans Union also ignores this provision.

The discussion and FCRA quotes are at CreditForum.org.

I just posted the info at CreditCourt at http://forum.creditcourt.com/discus/messages/17/2604.html

They're using a different name, American CREDIT Agencies.

I sent a copy of a receipt to Equifax, Experian
and TransUnion in 2000. I have had some success
with TransUnion and Equifax, but Experian could
care less. They ignore my letters, the've written
me and told me the account was verified. Well,
I spoke with the orignal account holder and they
confirmed that they have not heard from Experian.
This account was paid in full in 2001 and Experian
refuses to update my report. I feel helpless!!!

Me and my husband would of all means have to agree more with these problem areas and does most defintely need solutions to handling and filing correctly and or contacting the consumers or that off their credit report isn't getting done and would just like to say that further action needs to take place! People like myself and my husband are having a number of creditors staying on our credit report that needs to be cleared up and this takes time possibly even contacting the creditors yourself! Well, got more work to due on this if you or anyone else may have anything that would be helpful in getting our credit scores improved Please don't hesitate! Thanks, Christy.

If you're interested in credit scores and seriously improving your credit rating, I highly recommend subscribing to http://creditfactors.com/. However, it does require reading the materials and spending the time to review the "real" reports (not tri-mergeds) and the bottom line is, it's a lot of work.

I don't offer personal consulting services anymore because I easily spend 40 or 50 hours on one client in the first couple of months.
