Today I received the e-mail alert for the Compass inquiry.
I logged into CreditWatch to check on the alert, and just for kicks clicked on the order link. I was thrilled to get my report with the FICO score!
They never responded to my fax and e-mails, but "something" happened to make them release my report. It may be due to the class actions filed against Equifax for failing to release reports to consumers who take legal action against Equifax.
Still can't SAVE the report, and they haven't sobered up yet - the printed report is incomprehensible, nothing but lines ...
Posted by Christine at September 13, 2003 06:01 PMEquifax Credit Watch Still doesn't work properly. I have received emails in the past about "ghost" tradelines added to my report. And this weekend i got another one and called Equifax, I was told that the report i see online is different than the "other" credit report.

I have heard many times that Equifax keep 2 sets of reports, but I have no proof.
Any way you could get that in WRITING? Sometimes they do answer e-mail.
It makes their entire monitoring system a FRAUD.

I have a BIG problem about Equifax! They don't care what they put on YOUR credit profile! Then when you tell them you are going to hire a lawyer because you have a fraud on it, they send you a letter along with a copy of your profile. You go to disbute on-line and you CAN"T get on! Then they send you to a sight that you have to PAY! GIVE ME A BREAK!!! I have been fighting with my credit profiles from ALL three companies (Equifax, TransUnion and Experian ever since my divorce with my ex-husband over seven years ago. He owned a business and used my ss# for his business and rang up all my credit cards. I had to file for bankruptcy and I have been getting the shaft ever since from SEARS, FASHION BUG and DISCOVER..to mention a few..thanx for listening!

All you have to do is dispute in writing ONCE - explain that the accounts were opened fraudulently, list all the fraudulent accounts, and then SUE if they don't delete them.
I will bring up some of your issues with Equifax in my own suit, will post my new complaint later. It is unbelievable how screwed up their system is!
Trans Union paid about $1.5 million in Oregon last year, after a $5.3 million jury verdict. They just couldn't get it right and none of the bureaus are learning from their mistakes.

That's because not enough people sue them!
