Spoke with Val. Asked her about my Capital One limits, she told me I needed to dispute in writing. I told her that I had already done that and that the limits still aren't reported. She advised that I needed to dispute with Capital One directly. I asked how long she had worked there, and she just started a month ago. I requested a supervisor.
After some time on hold, Val asked whether the account was paid. What an irrelevant question! I answered that it was not paid. I told her that they are the ones who should give me information about my report, not the other way around. She advised that I could not view the report over the phone. I responded that I didn't want to view it, I wanted HER to view it and discuss my report.
So she wanted me to set up an appointment. I asked why I should have to drive 500 miles to get my credit report corrected. She told me I could write. I requested her supervisor again.
After a few more minutes on hold, Terese Candle (Cambell?) picked up the phone.
I asked why Experian first declined my online dispute, made me call Experian, Experian then gave me the CreditDataSW #, and they want me to set up an appointment or write. She told me that she could not discuss my report with me and that I needed to write. I told her that I already wrote, and that I had a question, but she continued talking and would not listen to me. Like a recording she continued to talk. I requested again that she listen to my question and she hung up.
About 12 minutes wasted, according to my recorder.
It's beginning to look like I have only 2 ways to get my Cap One credit limits on my reports:
a) get a court order
b) (deleted to stay out of prison)
Apparently ALL they do at that CreditData SW phone number is give out their address and sell credit reports. At no time did I provide any identifying information and this appears to be their normal business practice.
